A stack of traits
Blaze is a Jungle Sun Opal: Sun Opal is Hypo combined with Fire Opal, and Jungle adds the pattern. His morph stacks Sharp, Blood, Hypo and Jungle traits. Sharp is an albino line with no black pigment, Hypo reduces dark pigment, Blood boosts the reds and oranges, and Jungle scrambles the pattern so no two look the same.
Field notes
About boa constrictors
- Boas give birth to live babies instead of laying eggs, often around 25 at a time.
- Boa constrictors range from Mexico through Central and South America to Argentina.
- They're nonvenomous constrictors: they hold on and squeeze.
- With good care they can live 20–30 years, and sometimes even longer.
- Blaze was born, not hatched: boas give live birth.
