About Jefe and Friends

Jefe and Friends is the apparel brand behind Jefe, a Nile crocodile with sunglasses, swagger and the biggest personality in any room, and the growing crew of real animals who share his home. Every design is inspired by them.

The brand is run by Braxton "Gilly" Gilbert, a firefighter-paramedic, through Gilly's Exotics LLC in Cleburne, Texas. It grew out of Gilly Snake Pit, built over five to six years of keeping and sharing reptiles online, and today you can follow the crew's everyday antics on Instagram and TikTok at @jefeandfriends.

Responsible keeping

Jefe is a Nile crocodile kept by an experienced keeper with years of reptile experience. All of our animals are permitted. Nile crocodiles grow very large, live for decades and are dangerous. Laws on crocodilians and venomous snakes vary by state, county and city, and many places ban them outright. We don't encourage anyone to get a crocodile or a venomous snake. If you love these animals, support accredited zoos and sanctuaries.
